About the Library

What This Is

The Enduring Classics Library is a series of modernised, faithful editions of classic Christian devotional and theological works. Each volume restores a historically significant text for contemporary readers — in plain English, without dumbing it down.

Why It Exists

Most Christian books sit at one of two extremes: pop devotionals that sacrifice depth, or academic theology that sacrifices accessibility. This library sits between the two.

It's built for readers who are theologically serious but not scholars — people who've been burned by loose paraphrases and want something faithful instead. If you've meant to read the Puritans or the older devotional writers but the original language always stopped you, this is for you.

The Editor

Each volume is prepared by Jodie Gaston, who holds degrees in church history, theology, and missional leadership, and has served as a minister for over 25 years. The original text's theological weight is preserved in full — only the language is modernised, with reflection prompts and a glossary added for personal or group study.
